SPRING-SUMMER REPORT: 2004

PART 1

"Sermon On A Twig"

Genesis 2:27

And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

According to Genesis, God gave mankind “dominion” over all the earth and the creatures therein. The word “dominion” in Hebrew means “responsibility,“ or “stewardship”. It does not mean to defile the earth, or to destroy, mutilate, transmogrify, or lead our fellow creatures into extinction.

Some of us believe further that we will one day face our Maker and be held to account for our lives, and that accounting will include our treatment of His earth and His creatures, as well as our fellow man.

Where are today’s Stewards?
